Text:
Washington--Victory doth thy Trumpets sound, / Who are with Laurels cover'd round!

Version I:  As shown.  Collection:  Library of Congress.

Published in:  (i) [Daniel George], Weatherwise's Town and Country Almanack for . . . 1784 (Boston: Norman and White, [1783], and (ii) [Daniel George], Weatherwise's Town and Country Almanack for . . . 1784 (Boston: Coverly, [1783].

Notes:  For this image the artist, presumably Boston publisher John Norman, adapted a memorial engraving of William, Duke of Cumberland, which first appeared in The London Magazine of 1765. He removed elements of the image which did not suit his purpose, converting a memorial image into a crude allegorical representation of Britannia deploring her loss of America.
