Version I:  (1783)  Engraved likeness with oval border as shown, without text, published in London in the heading of a broadside entitled "A Circular Letter, / from his Excellency / George Washington, / Commander in Chief of the Armies of the  /United States of America; / Addressed to the Governors of the several States, / on his resigning the Command of the Army, and retiring from public Business."  Text at foot of broadside:  "London:  Printed for S. Bladon, No 13, Pater-noster-Row."
Version II:  (1783)  As shown.
Version III:  (1792)  As shown, with title changed to "Genl. Washington. / Published by D. Brewman.  Octr. 1st. 1792."

Notes:  The Carson sale catalog reports the dimensions of Version I as "Height 4 1-16 inches; width 3 7-16 inches, including outline border" and the dimensions of the broadside sheet as "Height 18 11-16 inches; width 13 10-16 inches.
