Cornaro Chapel, Church of S. Giobbe

Venezia; Church of S. Giobbe, right altar

The Cornaro Chapel was created at the right altar of the Church of S. Giobbe in 1586 by Cav. Proc. Pietro Cornaro, son of Marco Cornaro.

All of the decoration of the Chapel has been lost except a small painting of S. Giuseppe painted by Giuseppe Angeli.

In the pavement of the chapel is a 1584 inscription marking the grave of the patron's son Marcantonio, who died at age ten, and stating that the tomb was intended also for the patron and his wife.
