Villa Cornaro (later Persico, Frova)

Via Cavasagra 10, S. Andrea di Cavasagra di Vedelago (Treviso)

Villa Cornaro-Frova

VILLA CORNARO at S. Andrea di Cavasagra was built by an unidentified patron in the 1600s. By about 1750 the villa was owned by a Pietro Cornaro (presum. D-105) of the Piscopia branch of the family, who renovated the villa to its present form. One account states that the renovation was designed by the architect Giorgio Massari, while another attributes it to Francesco Maria Preti and Giovanni Miazzi.

In recent years the villa was operated as a hotel and now serves as a country club with some apartments sold on a time-sharing basis.
